Nevertheless, this essay wasn't an object lesson on slaves and slavery. People should know about the history of the enslaved and their circumstances by now in 2023, and if not, there are other essays in my Medium library that cover The Enslavement.

This essay was about how people use racialized language to describe the circumstances and events in lexical terms that are either unwittingly or intentionally meant to demean an entire race of people and their history.

Based on your cognitively dissonant response, you obviously disagree with the substance of the essay, however, I thank you for your comment.
