Interesting you should mention that because I am writing the section in my book on Individualism and Race as we speak. Individualism has been around a long time, but it gained most of its steam during the Post Racial Colorblind era from 1968 to 2017. Residual effects are still around right now, in the way that behaviorism worked to change Race as systemic, and Race as color, to Race as character and colorblind whiteness as invisible.
